The CDL Driver, reporting to the Dispatcher, is responsible for safely operating a truck, communicating with the Dispatcher for driving schedules and questions regarding schedules, completing pre-and post-trip inspections on vehicles, complying with truck driving rules and regulations (size, weight, route designations, parking and break periods) as well as with company policies and procedures, reporting all defects, accidents, or violations.

Requirements:

• Class A license (CDL)
• 2 years each of dump trailer, tanker, and flatbed experience
• Submit to drug and alcohol testing (pre-employment and random)
• Must have a current physical
• 20 years or older
• Zero (0) commercial vehicle accidents in the past 5 yrs.
• No more than two (2) commercial vehicle moving violations in the past 5 yrs.
• No drug or alcohol-related issues
• Cannot have a “No Air Brakes” Exception

Preferred Experience:

• Residential and commercial customer service experience
• Paving experience or eagerness to learn

Duties:

Drivers will be hauling primarily aggregate, soil, and mulch as well as doing paving work.  Drivers will be tasked with safely driving a variety of vehicles including, but not limited to, single axel, triple axel, dump trailer, tanker, and flatbed.

Compensation:

The hourly starting rate is $24.50/hour

Full-time schedule:

• Year-round, Monday-Friday, hours vary between 5:00 am-4:00 pm
• Some Saturday availability in season (March – October)
• Home every night

Work location: Herman’s operates within 150 air miles of the office in Wrightstown, NJ

While upholding the Values of Herman’s Trucking, (Safety, Customer Service, Growth, Integrity, Personnel) the Accounts Receivable Clerk will focus on performing the company’s accounts receivable procedures while ensuring accurate and timely invoicing for our customers.

Responsibilities:

• Daily billing for multiple departments
• Receiving payments from customers via check/credit card/cash
• Reconciling daily transactions within credit card processors  
• Following organizational procedures and workflows regarding receipt of payment through first customer touchpoint to closing and filing.
• Providing excellent customer service to customer inquiries regarding their accounts.

Skills needed to succeed in this role:

• Must be reliable and extremely trustworthy.
• Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related programs.
• Must be able to master new accounting software systems.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to maintain confidential and meticulous records.

Requirements:

• High school diploma required

Preferred but not required:

• Accounts Receivable Certificate is a plus
• ERP experience is a plus
• Cash management experience is a plus

Schedule:

Monday-Friday

PT 20 hours per week during office hours between 7 a.m. and 4 p.m.
